SURBIR.IT is the online traditional Italian food shop in which we select, keep and share the food treasures of the Emilian land.
This is the Manifesto that represents our value and our commitment.

1. WE ARE PRODUCERS
We produce one of the most ill-treated product: the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar. The fact that we don’t produce the industrial version (which represents about the 98% of the market) testifies that we don’t like shortcuts but, on the contrary, we look for the “real part” of things even if this means to work really hard every day on the market.
To be a producer means to know what the responsibility of making “food” is.
Our Acetaia is open to visitors and you can taste all our products if you really want to know them truly.

2. THE TERRITORY
We are nestled in the heart of Emilia (Italy), which is a crossroads of gastronomic culture, hospitality, industriousness and amusement.
The majority of our products come from Emilia, as we know well the producers and their way of working.
The rest come from Italy and other parts of the world, as we believe that excellent things can be found everywhere.

3. THE QUALITY
SURBIR.IT takes origin from the research of quality, that is why we choose a product solely if it meets some criteria:
a. direct acquaintance of the producer, who , first of all, must turn out to be nice and friendly;
b. good quality, healthiness and fair price compared to the value offered;
c. the origin must come, as much as possible, from a kind of farming that respects the environment and that is sustainable, certified as organic or biodynamic.

Our basket is formed by products that have the purpose to supply raw materials for everyday cooking.

4. THE VALUE
We firmly believe that an organized and precise service is a way to communicate the quality of the products offered. We listen to our costumers: opinions, compliments, criticisms.
The composition of price takes into account both of the service offered and the value of the products itself, without useless frills.
Furthermore, according to the values of Surbir.it, we commit to guarantee a package that responds to the “3R” criteria as much as possible: reduced, recyclable and reusable, so that we try to diminish our environmental impact as much as we can.
