Nestled in the heart of the Po Valley, Trattoria Cognento offers the most typical delicacies of the local Emilian cooking.
Since 1936, Trattoria Cognento has liven up a fertile corner of the Emilian country in the small village of Cognento, close to Campagnola Emilia, in the province of Reggio Emilia.
It was once called “tavern”: it was the time when wine and soups were served to patrons who found it a natural place for refreshment and aggregation.
Thanks to the wise management by Becchi family, who has run the restaurant since 1992, at Trattoria Cognento you can find the fervour and the genuinity that have characterised it through the years.
Parmigiano Reggiano, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Reggio Emilia, Lambrusco of Reggio Emilia, the famous Emilian salami and cold pork meats are just a few of the products of the territory that Becchi family has chosen to use to prepare the dishes offered to its guests. Everyday everything is served taking care of the genuinity of tradition and respecting ancient recipes.
