Pepper Maricha
All of the operations described for each type of pepper in Malaysia, are made exclusively by one person, Mr. Siew, performed within 24 hours of collection and are unprecedented in the world.
The project "Maricha" born from Gianni Frasi's "volcanic-mind", the number one coffee, roaster in its esoteric "Jamaica Coffee" in Verona (soon on line on Surbir).
The pepper come from the famous Kuching variety of gardens in Sarikei, in Sarawak state, selected from well preserved plants aged between 4 and 16 years.
The early varieties of pepper are the result of the early harvest in Utirancotta gardens of Sarikei, well maintained plants aged between 4 and 10 years.
The PN141 variety of pepper are the fruit of a limited and delicate harvest , in the gardens of Sarikei, well maintained plants aged between 4 and 10 years. It 'a hybrid, coming from Utirancotta variety, large size, fresh berry reaches 7.5 millimeters. The plant has a low yield, and does not always give fruits, a few farmers have the courage to cultivate it.
The variety of pepper Semong Perak come from the crop in the jungle, in the gardens on the banks of the river derived Ulu Julau, in the state of Sarawak. The river is the only connection with the outside world: there are no roads and requires 10 hours to travel by boat. The Semong Perak was until today completely unknown in Europe.
